Decent Music PR puts the spotlight on Izzy Pinchen asking her five key questions. . .

Welcome to the Decent Music PR blog. Please introduce yourself. And how would you describe your music?

Hey, I'm Izzy Pinchen, a singer-songwriter from Brighton, UK. I love pineapple on pizza and thrift shopping. My music is a blend of alt. and dream pop with influences from rock and soul. If you put Sade, Jhene Aiko and Dua Lipa in a room you would get my sound.

Who are your biggest influences?

I love strong female vocalists. Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliot are high on my list of influences.

Who do you create music for, and what messages do you want people to get from your music?

I create music for me. I write from experiences I've gone through and value putting messages in my lyrics. My new track is 'Not Alone' which has the core message to reach out if you're struggling, you're never alone.

If you could imagine the best moment for a first-time listener to listen to your music, what would it be?

Gosh, I think just anyone putting a track on and enjoying the journey! I still can't believe my music is out in the world.

What is one song that you wish you wrote yourself, and why?

Dirrty, such a tune!

What have you learned from your artistry through the years? What lessons do you think you could’ve only come through your music?

Everything is a learning curve. It's really easy to get caught up on small things but trusting in the process and knowing when to say it's done is so important. Move on to the next thing because life is short. I also think having a trusted team around you is super important. I've been working with the same team for four years and I love what we create together. I think my music carries a lot of meaning, so I hope if you're going through anything similar my music will resonate with you.
