Welcome to the Decent Music PR blog. Please introduce yourself. And how would you describe your music?

My name is Dorian, and I would describe my music as passionate, soulful and authentic.

Who are your biggest influences?

Michael Jackson, Monica, Brandy, Usher, Chris Brown, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder…so many of the greats.

Who do you create music for, and what messages do you want people to get from your music?

I create music for myself and those who can relate to and feel my life story. I make music for those who believe in love and want to enjoy and feel the many emotions of it.

If you could imagine the best moment for a first-time listener to listen to your music, what would it be?

I would like to imagine people sharing the experience of hearing my song for the first time in a club, jamming out to it and wanting to add it to their playlist.

What is one song that you wish you wrote yourself, and why?

I think “Heal The World” is one of the most beautiful, selfless and heartfelt songs ever. It has and still has such a global impact.

What have you learned from your artistry through the years? What lessons do you think you could’ve only come through your music?

I learned that my gifts will make room for me and are the biggest part of my purpose. I’ve learned that patience, perseverance, and persistence are key.
